A Distant Horizon Depart letra

The pain amongst us, the evil surrounds as the tears be in the midst of that blood which has been spilt. A pity goes out to those at this front.
We long for peace this light of the horizon.
As I look past the carnage I wish for a time such as this.
A heaven so close a longing is this for the reward of courage and of faith.

Looking to the coming and going of the sun still the
blood flows from this seemingly never ending war.
A pain swells up inside me as I see the torment of those who wish to be taken from this pain.
As also, for those who are held captive in
this bondage of the scales, having been weighed in the balance.

Seeing you seated upon your blackened throne,
I wish to see you fall; great general call upon me to partake in this deed.
Under the power of the mighty I would make you this wretch brought down among the carcass.
Dismembered, your head be raised for all to see.
Perched on this rod of truth; to a place of peace I depart.
